Written program

The Savings Guarantee.

Payzium's written commitment to merchants in the United States that if the Payzium-controlled part of your card-processing cost does not go down in your first 90 days, you do not pay it. The instrument covers Payzium-controlled fees; it does not modify the merchant processing agreement.

Pay less or it's freeEligible Payzium-controlled processing cost only. Interchange and network fees excluded.

the terms

Five terms.

1. The baseline is your own statements. The comparison starts from the three most recent consecutive full-month statements issued to you by your prior processor immediately before you were boarded through Payzium. Payzium does not choose the baseline, estimate it, or substitute an industry average. If those three statements are not available, the guarantee has no baseline and does not apply.

2. The measurement period is your first 90 days of live processing. It begins on your first live processing day with the Processor and runs ninety days. You must have processed card volume on at least sixty of those ninety days, and your total card volume across the period must be at least fifty percent of your baseline monthly volume multiplied by three, so that the period reflects a business that is actually running.

3. The test is a rate, not a dollar total. For each period, Payzium divides eligible cost by the card volume processed in that period and compares the two ratios. This is deliberate and it protects you. A raw dollar comparison would fail a merchant whose volume grew, and would pass a merchant whose volume collapsed. Neither result says anything about price.

4. Eligible cost is the Payzium-controlled portion, on both sides of the comparison. On the Payzium side, eligible cost is the Payzium fees you paid: the per-transaction margin and the monthly account fee named on your pricing schedule. On the baseline side, it is the like-for-like equivalent on your prior processor's statements, being that processor's own margin and monthly fees, however they were labeled. Interchange, card-network assessments, processor-set fees, third-party fees, taxes, chargebacks, fines, reserve funding and equipment charges come out of both sides. Payzium does not set them, and leaving them in would measure the card networks rather than Payzium.

5. A material change changes the mechanic, not your eligibility. If your card-present versus card-not-present mix moved by fifteen percentage points or more, your debit versus credit mix moved by fifteen percentage points or more, your average ticket moved by twenty-five percent or more, your monthly card volume moved by thirty percent or more, or you added or removed a sales channel or a line of business, Payzium applies a normalized-rate worksheet in place of a raw statement-to-statement comparison. Every normalization records the trigger, the source data, the method, the numerical effect and the approver. A material change does not disqualify a claim.

the remedy

If you did not pay less.

Payzium refunds the eligible Payzium fees you paid during the measurement period. If you move your processing to another processor, Payzium also reimburses your documented out-of-pocket costs to move, up to US$1,000, against invoices, receipts or equivalent third-party records.

Payzium does not pay the difference between its fees and any prior-processor amount, and does not refund a fee it did not charge. Payment is issued by electronic payment or check from an account of Payzium Corp, in United States dollars. Payzium may apply the amount as a credit against future Payzium fees only with your prior written consent.

One claim per merchant, counted across merchants under common beneficial ownership or control.

how to claim

Submit a claim.

Email support@payzium.com with the subject line "Savings Guarantee claim," within forty-five days after your measurement period ends. Include your identifying information and merchant identifier, the three baseline statements, your Payzium and Processor statements covering the measurement period, any Payzium invoices for that period, receipts for switch-back costs if you are claiming them, and a short written explanation that discloses any material change.

Within five business days of receiving your claim, Payzium sends one written notice that either confirms the claim is complete or lists, in a single consolidated notice, everything still required. The review period starts on the date of that notice. Payzium issues a written decision within thirty days after the review period starts, identifying the material facts, the formula applied, the amounts included and excluded, any adjustments, and the remedy. Payment on an approved claim is issued within fifteen days. You may submit additional information for reconsideration within fifteen days after a decision, and Payzium responds within fourteen days, routing the reconsideration to a reviewer who did not make the first decision where practical.

the limits

What this does not promise.

This instrument does not promise a lower interchange rate, a lower card-network assessment, a lower processor-set fee, approval by the Processor, funding, equipment performance, or uninterrupted processing. It does not promise that the all-in cost of accepting a card will fall, because most of that cost is set by the card networks and passed through at cost. It measures the part Payzium sets, because that is the part Payzium can be held to.

Questions merchants actually ask.

What exactly is being compared?
Two rates. On one side, the Payzium fees you paid during the measurement period divided by the card volume you processed in that period. On the other, the like-for-like equivalent from your prior processor's statements, being that processor's own margin and monthly fees, divided by the volume in the baseline period. Interchange, card-network assessments, processor-set fees, third-party charges, taxes, chargebacks, fines, reserve funding and equipment charges are removed from both sides before the division.
Why doesn't the guarantee cover my whole bill?
Because most of your bill is not Payzium's to set. Interchange is set by Visa and Mastercard, network assessments are set by the card networks, and both are passed through to you at cost. Payzium could not lower them if it wanted to, and a guarantee about them would be a guarantee about someone else's pricing. The guarantee covers what Payzium sets, which is the part Payzium can be held to.
What if my business changed during the 90 days?
It changes the method, not your eligibility. If your card mix moved by fifteen percentage points, your average ticket by twenty-five percent, your volume by thirty percent, or you added or dropped a sales channel or line of business, Payzium runs a normalized-rate worksheet instead of a raw statement comparison, so that the change in your business does not decide the result. Every adjustment is recorded with its trigger, source data, method, numerical effect and approver, and it goes to you with the decision.
What if I can't find three months of statements?
Then the guarantee has no baseline and it does not apply to you. The baseline is three consecutive full-month statements from a single prior processor, covering the period immediately before you were boarded. Payzium will not estimate a baseline or substitute an industry average, because a baseline Payzium invented would be a baseline Payzium could shape.
How much do I actually get back?
The eligible Payzium fees you paid during the ninety-day measurement period, in full. If you then move your processing to another processor, Payzium also reimburses your documented out-of-pocket costs to move, up to US$1,000, against invoices or receipts. Payzium does not pay the difference between its fees and your prior processor's, and does not refund a fee it did not charge.
What if my claim is denied?
You get the reasoning in writing: the material facts, the formula applied, what was counted, what was excluded, any adjustments, and the remedy. You have fifteen days to submit additional information for reconsideration, Payzium responds within fourteen days, and the reconsideration goes to a reviewer who did not make the first decision where practical.
Is there a catch in the eligibility rules?
There are eight requirements and they are all on this page: you were approved and boarded through Payzium; you provided three consecutive full-month statements from a single prior processor; you processed on at least sixty of the ninety days and your volume across the period was at least half of three months at your baseline monthly volume; your business did not fundamentally change model, ownership or licenses; you are not in a category the Processor's underwriting excludes as prohibited or high-risk; you are in good standing; you applied in good faith; and one claim per merchant, counted across merchants under common beneficial ownership or control. Nothing in the instrument is conditioned on anything not stated in the instrument.
Where is the actual document?
The Payzium Savings Guarantee (United States), Version 1.2, executed 26 July 2026, is the governing document. Version 1.0, executed 15 July 2026, continues to govern claims that arose under it. This page is the plain statement of the current version. If the two ever differ, the instrument governs.
