*Industry margin range based on publicly disclosed merchant pricing from major processors and published industry coverage including CardFellow, PYMNTS, and Mercator Advisory Group. Bundled and tiered processors typically charge effective rates between 2.5% and 3.6% on card-present transactions; the 1.5% to 2.5% figure represents the processor's margin portion within that range. Your actual savings depend on your current pricing structure and card mix.

Calculator output is an estimate. Final pricing depends on your actual card mix, current network rates effective on the date of your transactions, and any optional add-ons. The model assumes an average transaction value of $50. Interac debit is shown at the standard contactless rate; the exact Interac fee varies slightly by merchant category. Visa and Mastercard revise their interchange schedules quarterly; this calculator reflects schedules effective April 2026.

- Card-present surcharging
Pass the credit card fee to the customer where allowed. You keep 100% of the sale. Standard debit rates still apply. Compliant with the major card networks.
No commission baked into your rate, no padded interchange, no surprise tier shuffling. The rate you see is the rate you pay, every transaction, every month.
We hold our own processing agreement, not a sub-reseller's sub-reseller. One less intermediary, one less margin layer. You pay closer to wholesale.
Traditional processors bake 30 to 50 bps of sales commission into your rate. We don't. No one here is paid to mark you up. The savings stay with you.
We don't make money on PCI fees, statement fees, batch fees, or gateway access fees, because we don't charge them. Our margin sits in the rate, plain to read.
An average merchant statement contains 7 to 12 line items that don't go to interchange. Most are extracted from merchants who never bothered to read. Here's the list, marked $0.

Certificate of no junk fees
We charge for the rate. That is the entire list. If we ever charge for anything else, we will refund it at twice the amount. You send the statement line; we do the rest. No fee to claim, no negotiation.
If your eligible Payzium-controlled processing cost does not go down in 90 days, we refund the eligible Payzium fees you paid and pay documented switch-back costs up to CA$1,000. Interchange and card-network fees are passed through at cost and sit outside the comparison.
First 90 days only, measured against the eligible Payzium-controlled costs on your previous processor's statement. Interchange and card-network fees are excluded from the comparison. One claim per merchant.

I'm Maurizio Verrelli. I founded Payzium. Here is the honest reason it exists.
Every card processor makes the same quiet bet: that you will not read your statement. They show you a clean rate on the website, then bill you for things you never agreed to. PCI fees. Statement fees. A monthly minimum. Small lines, designed to be small enough that you do not ask. That is not bad luck. That is the business model. Confusion is the product.
Payzium is built the opposite way. We publish our rates. Interchange and network assessments are passed through at cost and appear on your statement. Your Payzium pricing is set out in your agreement, in writing, before you sign. And any time you ask, we'll reconcile your statement against it, line by line, and show you what you paid and why. That is the whole point.
And we put it in writing. If we ever charge a junk fee, we refund it twice. That is the Honest Rate Promise. And if the part of your cost we control does not go down in your first ninety days, the Payzium fees covered by the guarantee come back. We do not set interchange, so I will not pretend to guarantee it. Pay less or it's free.
I am not going to tell you Payzium is for everyone. If your numbers do not move, I will tell you to stay put.
Payzium Holding is federally incorporated in Canada. This is a real company with a real name on it, and the name is mine.

so how do we make money?
Most processors run a stack of revenue streams. We run one. It keeps the incentive aligned, and the math easy.
Every dollar of Payzium's revenue comes from the spread between interchange and the rate you pay. No padding, no riders.
Five dollars a month, printed on the homepage. That is the entire monthly-fee list. No PCI fees, no statement fees, no batch fees, no gateway access fees. Every processor charges a monthly fee; most bury it in the rate where you never see it.
We pass terminal costs through at our wholesale rate. We don't make money on the box. We make money when the box makes money for you.
A countertop terminal that's been in the field for a decade. A self-serve kiosk for when staffing the till stopped making sense. Both certified, both ours.

Android 14, all-in-one. Tap, chip, swipe, wireless. 6.56-inch HD+ touchscreen, built-in thermal printer, 4G + WiFi + Bluetooth 5.0. Ships preconfigured to your account.
