Payzium USA pricing
Two programs. Both published.
Pick the program that fits your counter. You pay is interchange-plus with Payzium's low fixed margin published on the page. Your customers pay is dual pricing: a widely used model where you post a cash price and a card price. Program eligibility, display, and signage rules vary by state; we confirm the rules that apply to your state and setup before you go live.
Program A. You pay.
Interchange-plus with a published margin.
You pay card-network interchange and assessments at cost. Payzium's margin applies to credit volume only: a low fixed number, published on the page, the same for every merchant in your tier. Debit runs at interchange cost plus $0.05 per transaction, with zero Payzium margin. Card-not-present credit transactions add 10 basis points at every tier.
| Tier | Monthly card volume | Card-present margin | Card-not-present margin |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | Up to $100,000 | 0.30% plus $0.05 | 0.40% plus $0.05 |
| Tier 2 | Up to $500,000 | 0.25% plus $0.05 | 0.35% plus $0.05 |
| Tier 3 | Up to $1,000,000 | 0.20% plus $0.05 | 0.30% plus $0.05 |
| Tier 4 | Above $1,000,000 | 0.15% plus $0.05 | 0.25% plus $0.05 |
- Plus $0.05 per pass-through transaction. Same at every tier.
- Plus a $5 monthly account fee. The $5 also carries the terminal program (see the hardware page).
At $40,000 per month, 100 percent card-present, blended card mix, your all-in effective rate on Program A is
1.70%
This is the same rate shown across the site.
Program B. Your customers pay.
Dual pricing. Cash price and card price.
With Payzium Dual Pricing, you post a cash price and a card price. Customers who choose to pay by card pay the posted card price, which is designed to cover eligible card-acceptance costs. Dual Pricing can reduce your net eligible card-processing cost on covered transactions when both prices are properly displayed and collected.
Merchant rate to customer rate, published.
Post the card price you want your customers to see. Payzium computes the corresponding merchant discount and books your card sales at that discount. Cheat sheet math (source: processor dual-pricing cheat sheet):
| Posted card price adder | Merchant discount |
|---|---|
| 2.00% | 1.961% |
| 2.50% | 2.439% |
| 3.00% | 2.913% |
| 3.50% | 3.382% |
| 4.00% | 3.846% |
Program availability, display rules, state rules, card-network rules, equipment fees, chargebacks, refunds, taxes, non-card fees, and other third-party obligations may still apply.
